Review 4/14/2011
|
April 12, 2011 - I wanted to write this review because I wanted to let people looking to ship vehicles know that there are companies you can trust and utilize with out the stress of wondering what will take place. I am a 47 year old female who worked through this process on my own. I needed to transport a vehicle from Las Vegas, Nevada to Lewiston, Idaho to my 19 year old nephew. I had requested several quotes from different companies and this company was not the lowest quote, but they were not the highest either. They are accredited with the BBB and had received good reviews from previous customers. Other bidders had misspelled words on their web sites and some had bad reviews and some were not BBB accredited. This is exactly what I experienced using AAA Discount Auto and Truck Transporters and Steve Craig. From the first phone call, I experienced a live person (Steve Craig himself). He gave me straight forward information of how the whole process would work. He’s “the broker” he charges a minimal deposit (fee) or his services on your credit card, which is basically to find you a trucking company to transport your vehicle. He sends you all the paperwork via e-mail or fax. He does not charge his fee until the truck is dispatched (that means: when he finds a truck to take your vehicle). I called on a Wednesday, he found a trucking company by Thursday and the trucking company picked up my vehicle on the following Monday. Steve gave me the driver’s cell phone # and the trucking company called me along the way to keep me informed of when the driver would arrive to pick up the vehicle. Steve and I also exchanged a few more e-mails about additional information I needed and he told me if I had any questions to feel free to call him. From all the nightmares I had heard, the whole process I experienced was such a relief. The trucker came to my door; he inspected the vehicle, filled out the inspection report (bill of lading), and loaded my vehicle on the truck and was gone in 30 minutes. Before he left he gave me an estimated arrival date and time (Wednesday evening) and a copy of the bill of lading. I had overnighted the trucking company’s fee for transporting the vehicle (usually you pay by cash, cashier’s check, or money order no credit cards) to my nephew to give to the driver on his end (Idaho) after inspection of the vehicle at delivery. The driver called my nephew at 2:00pm Wednesday to let him know an approximate arrival time of 9:30pm that night. The driver actually arrived at 8:00pm with out a hitch and was gone by 8:30.
All in all an excellent experience! Thanks Steve! I will recommend your company to everyone!
