Review 8/14/2009

We were very much skeptical in taking the offer of American Marketing Group to sell our timeshare. We needed to sell due to a job loss we had recently, to reduce our debt. We did make the required payment with a credit card, but only after reviewing the policy of the credit card for reimbursement for potential scams. Not that we would say we were scammed by this company, but they did not deliver what they promised. We were told that we had at least 2 different buyers interested in our timeshare, willing to pay more than double what we paid for it. We were not really interested in making a profit, especially in this economy. We just wanted to sell it. After patiently waiting through office repairs and other excuses as to why we had not heard from anyone, we never received any calls back that appeared that they were anywhere close to finalizing a deal with any of the buyers that were wanting to buy. We were able to get our money back after the contract we signed had lapsed from the credit card company, not from American Marketing Group. We did check this sight and found no unfavorable reviews and a "C" rating, mainly because there wasn't really anything negative or positive. In less than a year, there is now an "F" rating, but all positive comments. We don't know if we would have had a legitimate complaint against this company, but we certainly felt this company does not deliver what they promised.
