To whom it may concern, This letter is concerning Premier Nissan of San Jose 1120 Capitol Expressway Auto Mall San Jose, CA 95136-1105 I feel that this is one of the worst deals that i have ever made in my life. The sales people quoted me a price of $21,100 out the door and told us that in that price they were including taxes, title, service plan, and registration. I took the $21,000 out on a car loan and expected the principal to come down to around $16,000+ on my loan after the $5,000 down payment that i gave them was applied to the principal. They then had me sign a contract that had all of the sales taxes, registration, Ect. on it and used my $5,000 to pay that. So where as i was told i was buying a $21,000 out the door car turned into me paying for a $26,000 car. Full disclosure? I think not. when we tried to contact the dealer about our concerns i was first talked to very very rudely by one of the finance workers and then asked to be called back by the manager. They never called me back so i called them 3 separate times after that. I finally got a hold of the manager today 6/7/11 and he started out the conversation rudely. After asking him to remember that I had just spent $26,000 in his dealership and the least he could do was speak to me nicely he continued to be extremely insulting and said that if we came to the dealership he would call the police on us, so we asked to speak to whoever his boss was. He told us that he was the only person that we could talk to and there was no where else to go. I told him that we would be contacting Nissan's Consumer affairs department and he told us that we should because all they would do to him was "thank him". Towards the end of the conversation he let us know that he was much smarter than us and that we should have "our parents" look over the contract and explain it to us. The manager was unable to comment on our previous pieces of paper that we signed during negotiations with the sales person and i would very much like to know where the pieces of paper with our original signatures and agreements went. The owner did not want to hear our complaints and was extremely confrontational and rude! This dealership is practicing some extremely unethical business practices and i do not feel that i was fully disclosed about my purchase and was mislead by the sales and financing people about what my down payment was going towards. I was under the impression that out the door including taxes, title, ect. was going to be paid by the dealership meant that when they say $21,100 out the door that was $21,000 and then the down payment would be going towards that 21,000? The manager said that a car dealer would never agree to something like that and out the door really meant after taxes. I called another Nissan dealer and asked him a lot of questions and he stated that if he told a customer that it was a certain price "out the door" that would mean after taxes and other fees. He also stated that the other manager was incorrect when he stated that no other dealer would accept paying for the taxes title fees ect. and stated that he will often do that if they are trying to sell a car. I feel really bad and taken advantage of because i felt like i was buying a 21k car and ended up buying a car that was 26k because they did not disclose that they decide not to pick up the fees as we agreed and also that i was foolish enough to sign a contract with these people. Can anyone help me? i desperately need counsel on this situation. I urge others to not do shop at this dealership!
