I bought a SDI Solar water heating system in July 0f 2010 in hopes that it would lower my power bill (which averaged $250 per mo.)My "package" came with R30 insulation,a solar attic fan and an air conditioning product called ThermoCool.We felt that the price was a little high at $12,500 for everything but we did get a $3650 tax credit (which helps!)I checked out the company history and BBB rating and some awards they showed us during their spiel, it all seemed legit so we took the plunge so to speak. I've always liked the "Going Green" theory but was kinda skeptical if it would save us what they promised. I'm actually pleased to say that our average electric bill has been under $100 a month for last six months, our Dec. bill was just $88.70, I can't remember bills that low in the last ten years!! It lets us feel like we're doing our part to help the environment and saves money at the same time so I guess my point is we are quite happy, since then I've referred two family members that have had similar results, so for what it's worth I give them 2 thumbs up. Installation took longer than expected though.
