DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!
|
If you're considering TutorNation.com, please consider the following warning.
I purchased a 425-day membership in December 2011, for $95, figuring I'd make it back in the first couple hours of tutoring. As of today, I have received ONLY two requests for tutoring, neither of which worked out.
On August 1, 2012, my credit card was charged another $95, without authorization or receipt. Considering that my initial membership is set to expire in February 2013, I would say this is a little premature. It took a week to hear back from TutorNation.com about getting a refund. Their response mentioned something about a technical glitch moving their server, and that they'd investigate the situation. That was 3 weeks ago, and I have yet to hear anything. They also don't respond to emails or contact through their website form.
I've read some recent reviews and complaints on the BBB website. Apparently, several other people have had similar experiences lately. Avoid this company... plain and simple, they don't connect tutors with students, they don't respond to communication, and they charge you without sending you any kind of invoice (before) or receipt (after).
