I was looking into annuities as a source for an income for my retirement. I was speaking with Christopher (Chris) Alexander of Wealth Preservation Group LLC 6849 Peachtree Dunwoody Rd NE Atlanta, GA 30328 (770) 673-0377 who was insisting that an annuity would be perfect for my retirement plans. He was explaining to me that a variable annuity would offer me peace of mind and stability. He was telling me that a variable annuity has minimal risk and offers me a supplemental source of income. Because this involved my life savings, I decided to get a second opinion. I was told that a variable annuity has a lot of risk contrary to what Chris told me. It was also explained to me that because I would need to have access to the funds to help my grandson purchase a home since he just got married, a variable annuity is not suitable nor recommended. When I told Chris about what I learned, he was adamant that the adviser did not know what he was talking about and that there is no risk in a variable annuity. I told Chris that I had to think about it and that I would call him when I made a decision. He did not respect my wishes and called me many times. Again I asked him to not call me and he continually harassed me. I have to say that he is unprofessional and seems to only care about collecting a commission check and not my best interests.
